Piasten & Treets
''Two concepts merged into one."
Project Managers Piasten: Jurgen and Martina Braun
Piasten is part of the Katjes Group and exhibits as a regular customer every year at the International Confectionery Fair (ISM) in Cologne. A few years ago, the manufacturer took over production and distribution of the popular chocolate-coated peanut pralines of the Treets brand. The stand at ISM 2020 was intended to highlight both: Piasten as a manufacturer with its own portfolio offering Schoko Linsen, and since 2018, the new flagship Treets with the theme of chocolate-coated peanuts.
The characteristics of the products were highlighted and underscored using design. The common element was a round ceiling with hangers from which the products dangled as oversized but true-to-scale dummies, thus creating an effective eye-catcher. The differences between the products were not concealed but clearly emphasized. Piasten was given a pastel appearance in white, pink and purple, adorned by mermaids and with the products displayed in lavish sea shells. The result was a coolly backlit yet homelike atmosphere similar to that in “Urmel aus dem Eis”.
Treets, on the other hand, were presented in earthy, organic colors. Wooden optics, warmly lit showcases in shades of brown, beige and orange. A real pick-up truck as eye-catcher combined a natural look with USA feeling to create an authentic farming ambience. The look and feel were highlighted by a photo floor with motifs from peanut cultivation. The effect was impressive and visitors fascinated. Some would have liked to bite off a good mouthful of chocolate from the mock-ups.
